Hi everybody, my name is Peter and I am from New York. Music is definitely a part of my life and there is no way I can think of a day without listening to my favorite songs. That is why it is very important for me to have cool powerful speakers, earphones and everything necessary to make it even more interesting… But, at the same time, it is very important for me to have a cool media player, meaning that has to be fast, easy to use, with a lot of options, features etc.
Of course I am using good old Winamp which keeps getting better and more popular, and why wouldn’t it be when it has to offer so much. With this media player, I don’t have to worry about anything, I just select the songs I want to listen to that particular day and I am ready to go for jogging, or simply sit at home and enjoy the music. Most of the time I am using Winamp while I am working on my computer. I like to put the earphones and click Play on the best media player ever.
I like the fact that there are so many skins so when I am listening to Metallica or a similar band, I select the Hard Rock skin with a cool black guitar and a skull which makes me wanna turn the volume up while singing along. Let’s not forget about the plugins which are making this media player so special. There is a plugin I like to use for the advance crossfading, and that means that between two songs, you will not hear a second of silence, since it is combining that decibels and that time remaining until the end of the song, to fade to the next song…
That way I have a feeling that I am listening to the radio – my own radio with my favorite songs, and that is what Winamp is all about. Customizing your own way of listening to the music. You gotta love it, and there is nothing that can change that. I love the way you can use the keyboard and those amazing shortcuts for switching to the next song, or if you want to click Pause, Stop, Play…
All in all, it is hard not to love Winamp, because even if there is something you don’t like, it doesn’t mean that you have to use it. That is why it is so interesting sitting in front of the computer while using Winamp. There are so many options you can use to make your life a little bit easier and to listen to your favorite music easily. I can’t see myself using any other player in the years to come, since I don’t think anyone can make a better player than Winamp. The simplicity makes it look so great and why so many people are using it…
